About the Artist
Biography While studying during the late 40's under the abstract expressionist, Helge Ernst in Haut-des-Cagnes at the French Riviera, Ernst arranged for Jensen and several other young art students to sketch and paint at the Villa of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso in Vallauris for one month. During that time, Jensen assisted Ernst while he directed the Cannes Film Festival Award Winning documentary: "Guernica" - a film based on Picasso's most famous painting. Today, Jensen works with universities and is interested in advancing knowledge of the arts. He has lectured and taught design, drawing and art history. Jensen's paintings can be seen in galleries, corporate and museum collections in the United States and abroad. In Minnesota, he is represented in the Weisman Art Museum, The American Swedish Institute Museum, The Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, Honeywell's Corporate Collection, Fairview Health Services Hospitals and many private collections. Original drawings and book illustrations are in collections in the National Museum of Art in Copenhagen, Denmark, the National Library in Oslo, Norway and Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, France.
